I am based in Cologne, Germany, originally growing up in the USA.
My main photographic interests are wildlife, macro, and the Cologne Cathedral and Rhine.
My journey into photography began in Japan in 1999, on a digital camera with a 3.5 inch floppy disk. You could get half a dozen or so shots before exhausting the 1.44mb of space. At the time I was staying at a Zen Buddhist temple and in between doing zazen and cleaning, I would greedily take pictures of all the interesting things around me. Not very zen but out of it came the desire to capture in my photos not only the physical world but at the same time the spiritual.
